Sometimes things seem so clear - I can see exactly what you are trying to tell me. You are very explicit.
Sometimes what you are trying to tell me doesn't match the vibes you send. What is your implicit message?
Sometimes the vibes you send tell me clearly not to say anything about a topic, the null, or what gets 'left alone'. Why?

Leave this space and go to your church.
You are visiting your church for the first time. Note how the meeting space looks as you approach it. What does it tell you about the people who use this space?
As you enter the space, be aware of how you are welcomed. Who greets you? How?
You stay for the service. Is the space welcoming? Is there music? What are the rituals? What is the source of the words?
What do you do at the end of the service? Who do you interact with? How long do you stay?
When you leave, come back to this place, and open your eyes or change position.
What messages did you receive?
Did you get a sense that people like you were welcome?
What made you comfortable? Uncomfortable?
What impact would the setting have on your faith development?
Closing:
Please say what you mean so that what I think I heard you say is really what you meant.
Or did you say what you thought you should say and not what you really felt?
And how am I supposed to know that what you didn’t say was really what you meant?
Are you confusing me on purpose?
